Sustainability
“Waste is unquestionably a vital issue and it is getting much greater attention in the construction industry for two main reasons, the first is environmental, we understand the importance of reducing pressures on the environment. Secondly there is a huge cost saving potential if we cut out unnecessary waste of materials and waste in the construction process.”
Aggregates are a major part of any construction process and as such WCL Quarries is dedicated to its own role in the sustainability of the industry and its finite resources. Having committed to ‘Halving Waste to Landfill’, a voluntary agreement in association with WRAP, to support and deliver against the target of halving waste to landfill by 2012, WCL Quarries Company ethos, policies, procedures and operational activities are set, managed and developed with waste reduction and minimisation, improved efficiency, and the reduction of our carbon footprint as key drivers and indicators by which we can monitor our success.
WCL Quarries is committed to a belief that quality and service matter.
