WCL Quarries' Steve Bubb Takes on the Villa
WCL Quarries’ Sales Executive Steve Bubb and a team of ‘Crown All Stars’ took on the Aston Villa stars of yesteryear in a charity football match to raise money for the Chasetown FC Community Fund.
The annual charity match arranged by Chasetwon Football Club was a close run affair, with the home team leading 2-0 until the experience of the former Villa players took over. The match ended 2-2 with Villa taking the glory in a penalty shoot out.
The former Villa team included Irish International Mark Kinsella, Martin Carruthers, Chris Price and 1982 European Cup Winners Gordan Cowans, Ken McNaught and Colin Price.
Each of the home team was sponsored for the match, raising money for the Chasetown FC Community Fund.
