WCL Quarries acknowledge that the strength of a Company lies in its employees. The Joseph Foote Trust
The principal aim of The Joseph Foote Trust charity is to support research into improving the survival rate of children with brain tumours, whilst reducing the toxicity and late effects of treatment, through improved understanding of tumour biology; developing model systems of childhood brain tumours in order to better understand where they come from and understand how they become drug resistant, and how to improve our treatments.
WCL Quarries have supported the charity over the past 5 years by attending and sponsoring a table at the annual Joseph Foote Charity Ball.
Chasetown Football Club
WCL Quarries have supported Chasetown Football Club, one of our local teams for the past 3 years through pitch side sponsorship and programme adverts. The club enjoys an active sporting calendar and they are keen to be the one of the best in the league.
In July 2009, Chasetown FC were privileged to be the first team to play Cardiff City at the Welsh side's brand new stadium, and in May this year they won the play-offs, beating 1-0 in front of a crowd of 1,265 to gain promotion to level 7 of the for the first time in their history.
